Tiling cover Carodek BAS
ROSCO CARODEK-BAS tiling cover made of aluminum profile, odor- and waterproof. Specially developed as a solution for every manhole opening: residential construction, renovation, commercial construction, industry, parking lots, etc. BAS tiling covers are lightweight, easy to install, easy to lift, and corrosion-resistant.
The ROSCO BAS tiling covers are made of high-quality profiled aluminum, AL.MG.SI.05. The frame and cover are conically interlocked, preventing jamming when removing the cover. A double, chemical-resistant neoprene sealing strip, housed in the specially designed profiled frame, ensures a completely odor-proof and watertight seal. The cover is pressed into the frame using stainless steel bolts. These bolts are located in a sealed chamber between the two sealing strips and are therefore optimally protected against moisture infiltration, corrosion, and, consequently, malfunctioning over time.
After unscrewing the Allen screws using the supplied Allen key, the lid is lifted automatically by turning the supplied ergonomic handles, making removal of the lid very easy.
The integrated Allen screws are fitted with an easily removable plastic cap at the top, preventing dirt buildup. A 4 mm thick reinforcement mesh with a 50×50 mm grid is placed at a distance from the bottom of the trough-shaped lid, held in place by integrated clips. Floating reinforcement has the advantage of ensuring optimal reinforcement when the lid is filled with screed and/or mortar. This is in contrast to reinforcement that rests on the bottom of a lid.
A pressure test conducted by W.T.C.B. proves that our filled BAS can withstand a load of 5 tons, which is safe for passenger cars. Tested by W.T.C.B. in accordance with ISO 9001, they meet the load requirements of section 8 of NBN EN 124, category A15.
It is recommended to open each tile cover once a year and grease the inside of the frame and the Allen screws. This treatment has already been applied to all covers that leave our modern production facility. Installation height: 75 mm. Internal cover depth: 65 mm.
